Bay Area Science Festival Draws Thousands

NIF was highlighted in the LLNL exhibit at the Nov. 1 San Francisco Bay Area Science Festival, a day of hands-on experiments, exhibits, games and shows. More than 30,000 people packed into AT&T Park for the culmination of the Festival’s week-long science festivities, which included more than 100 interactive science and technology events.

Situated on the promenade level, the Lab booth was in prime position to welcome visitors and drew a constant crowd. NIF&PS volunteers manned an exhibit showing videos of how NIF works and answered questions about all things laser. The LLNL booth also was highlighted in the media.
