Switchyard Support Structures
The switchyards convert the parallel laser beam layout to the spherical configuration of the target chamber, as the beams need to enter the chamber along radial lines to converge on the target. The switchyard support structures are built to resist vibration. They are firmly anchored to the building's reinforced concrete walls, which are 0.6 meters (two feet) thick.
