Video: Simulation of Burning Plasma Shot on NIF

This is a simulation of the Aug. 8, 2021 “Burning Plasma” shot at NIF at the onset of ignition. This calculation consists of 19 million high-order quadrature points and ran on a predecessor system to LLNL’s El Capitan supercomputer.
