Krista Ladner is the principal associate directorate administrator for the NIF & Photon Science Directorate at LLNL. A key member of the NIF&PS senior management team, Ladner is the administrative leader for all aspects of the PAD’s administrative business, including initiating, recommending, and implementing internal administrative systems and procedures, as well as directing and overseeing all management aspects of the directorate’s administrative support personnel. She leads PAD workforce development activities and initiatives, including recruitment and hiring, retention, salary management, performance management, corrective actions, employee relations, internal communications, and affirmative action and diversity issues. She is responsible for the development of directorate operational and administrative procedures.

Ladner has held numerous administrative roles at LLNL, including administrative specialist, PAD office manager, personnel administrator, and DoDT program administrator. Before joining LLNL, Ladner worked for Farmers Insurance Group as a manager in the personal lines auto division. She managed a team of six adjusters and was responsible for the unit’s quality, disposition, and file maintenance results.

Ladner received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Sonoma State University.
